Enlyst Foundation · Non-Commercial Research Mandate

Courage and wisdom
in service of children who wait.

The mandate

Address systems.
Not symptoms.

Enlyst Foundation is the registered non-commercial research and social mission arm of the Enlyst ecosystem. Ring-fenced from all commercial revenue. Its mandate is research, capacity building, and free public access to educational instruments that would otherwise exist only inside academic institutions.

The Foundation owns the Himat-Hikmat Framework — the doctoral research instrument built at the University of the Punjab — and deploys it through SelfEfficacy.ai as a permanently free assessment for teachers of students with visual impairment across Pakistan.

The Foundation does not provide charity. Charity addresses symptoms. The Foundation addresses systems — the structural conditions that produce educational inequality, and the specific instruments that measure and reduce the gap.

Himat · Hikmat

The framework.

Himat — Institutional Courage and Access. What the educational system provides: physical access, institutional resource allocation, the courage to engage with disability-inclusive teaching. Determines whether students can enter and remain. Necessary but not sufficient for learning outcomes.

Hikmat — Pedagogical Wisdom and Achievement. What teachers must independently develop: specialised instructional knowledge, adaptive strategies, contextual wisdom, the practical ability to produce outcomes without standard visual resources. Cannot be provided institutionally — requires individual development and specialised professional formation.

The failure mode: Himat without Hikmat. Institutions produce enrolment, physical access, welfare support — without producing teacher competence and learning outcomes. Students present. Learning not occurring. Confirmed at scale in Punjab's special education provision.

The SelfEfficacy.ai instrument makes this gap measurable. 36 items, three subscales, a 9-point Likert scale calibrated to the visual impairment teaching context. Freely available. Permanently free.
